We operate the website clipthislook.com, the Clip This Look Chrome extension, the Clip This Look iOS app, and associated social media accounts (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide (Creators)

When you create a Creator account, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Username and password
• Social media account connections (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) you authorize
• Payment information for commission payouts
• Profile information you choose to share on your storefront

1.2 Information You Provide (Consumers)

When you browse the Platform as a consumer, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as:

• Email address (if you subscribe to alerts or wishlists)
• Wishlist and product interaction data

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform (including the Chrome extension and iOS app), we may automatically collect:

• Device and browser information — IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution
• Usage data — pages viewed, products clipped, collections created, click-through data, and navigation paths
• Chrome extension data — URLs of pages where you clip products (we collect product data only, not your general browsing history)
• Location data — approximate geographic location derived from your IP address
• Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5 below

1.4 Information from Third-Party Platforms

When you connect your social media accounts, we may receive information from those platforms in accordance with your authorization, including:

• Public profile information (name, profile picture)
• Publishing permissions to post content on your behalf
• Engagement metrics on content published through our Platform

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate the Platform — enabling product clipping, storefront creation, affiliate link routing, social media publishing, and commission tracking
• To power AI features — AI Product Scout uses your clipping history and audience purchasing patterns to suggest relevant products (Pro plan only)
• To process payments — tracking commissions and processing Creator payouts
• To communicate with you — responding to inquiries, sending commission reports, product alerts, and platform updates
• To publish content — posting to your connected social media accounts on your behalf
• To analyze and improve — understanding how Creators and consumers interact with the Platform to improve features and user experience
• To comply with legal obligations — responding to legal requests and preventing fraud or abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Creator storefronts are publicly accessible at clipthislook.com/username. Any information you include on your storefront (profile name, bio, curated products) is visible to anyone who visits that page.

3.3 Affiliate Commerce Partners

When a consumer clicks a product link, they are redirected to a third-party retailer’s website. The retailer’s own privacy policy governs the collection and use of information from that point forward.

3.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

3.5 Business Transfers

If Clip This Look is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Retailers

Clip This Look is an affiliate commerce platform. When a consumer clicks a product link:

• They leave the Clip This Look Platform and are directed to the retailer’s website
• A cookie may be placed on their browser by the affiliate network to track the referral
• If a purchase is made, the Creator and Clip This Look may earn a commission at no additional cost to the consumer
• The retailer’s privacy policy, not ours, governs the consumer’s transaction and data on their site

5.3 Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform, including authentication and affiliate link tracking.

6. Chrome Extension Privacy

The Clip This Look Chrome extension:

• Activates only when you click the extension icon or use the keyboard shortcut
• Collects product data (image, title, price, description, URL) only from the active tab when you clip
• Does not monitor or collect your general browsing history
• Does not access data from tabs you do not explicitly clip from
• Transmits clipped product data securely to our servers over HTTPS

7. iOS App Privacy

The Clip This Look iOS app:

• Collects only the data necessary to operate the share extension and Creator dashboard
• Uses secure authentication via AWS Cognito
• Stores credentials securely in the iOS Keychain
• Does not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone without explicit permission

8. Data Retention

• Creator account data — retained until you request deletion or close your account
• Commission and transaction data — retained for up to 24 months for reconciliation and tax purposes
• Usage and analytics data — retained for up to 26 months
• Affiliate click data — retained for up to 12 months

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal information
• Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Disconnect social accounts — revoke social media publishing permissions at any time through your account settings

• Encryption in transit using TLS/HTTPS across all Platform pages and API calls

• Secure credential storage in the iOS Keychain
• Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

13. International Data Transfers

Our Platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information
